Meet the Attorney

​

Attorney Jonathan Arias is deeply committed to service and education.  It is with a passion for promoting knowledge that he was led to start The Onyx Group, a firm dedicated to the protection and education of real estate businesses and owners.

 

In keeping with his commitment to serve those around him, Jonathan is the current Treasurer for the South Miami Kendall Bar Association, and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is also actively involved in his church, Core Community Church of Homestead, FL.

 

As a first-generation American, Jonathan understands the cultural and racial barriers that many face when immigrating to the US. He was raised in Homestead, Florida by Dominican parents who instilled in him the values of hard work, education, and service. Jonathan took the lessons of his youth and set out to make an impact.  He attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and after receiving his Bachelor's, he graduated from the Michigan State University College of Law.

 

During his time in law school, Jonathan was a member of the Hispanic Law Student Association, the Black Law Student Association and a founder of a nonprofit dedicated to providing education and grooming services to the homeless in Lansing, Michigan.  In all of his personal and professional pursuits, Jonathan has committed himself to leaving a lasting influence on everyone he meets.

 

When he’s not working with business owners and investors, families seeking help with immigration issues, and landlords, Jonathan spends his time with family.  He enjoys time with his wife of 9 years, Lauren, son, Israel, and daughter, Soleil. As a resident of Coral Gables, Jonathan can also be found volunteering his time to engage in a variety of service and mentorship roles.
